On October 7, 2026, Innovation Era Press (IEP) announced that it will offer free international publishing, distribution and digital royalty accounting services to creators in literature, the arts, science and technology.
IEP was founded in Boston in May 2026. During its first five months of trial operation, it has published and distributed six titles, five literary works and one scientific monograph, in multiple language editions. The books have recorded their first sales both on online platforms and in physical bookstores, and the first royalties have been paid. IEP has received submissions from more than ten authors, several of whose works are now in editorial review or under contract.

What the Free Service Includes
ISBN assignment, basic copyediting and standard typesetting, cover refinement (based on a draft cover supplied by the author), a publication announcement, and listing across distribution channels. Each title is, in principle, published in one format, either ebook or paperback, at the author’s choice.
Publishing Process
IEP is not an open self-publishing platform. Every work goes through a defined process: submission, editorial evaluation, contract signing, publication and distribution, and royalty accounting. Manuscripts found through comparison checks to involve imitation, plagiarism or disguised copying will not be accepted. Authors who used AI tools in writing or designing their work must disclose how they were used.
Outside the Scope of the Free Service
Manuscript revision and editing, translation, illustration and original cover design, extensive custom typesetting, Library of Congress cataloging (CIP/LCCN) and deposit copies, copyright registration (for example, through the U.S. Copyright Office’s eCO system), award submissions, and marketing and promotion are not part of IEP’s publishing services. Authors may arrange these themselves, or IEP can recommend third-party partners. Fees are agreed directly between the author and the partner, and IEP takes no commission.
Royalties
Books are produced through print-on-demand and digital distribution, with no minimum print run. Royalties are calculated from the actual sales data reported by each sales platform.
Distribution
IEP distributes titles to major book channels and platforms worldwide, including but not limited to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Ingram, Apple Books, Google Play Books and physical bookstores. Whether a title is stocked, listed or recommended, and how it ultimately sells, is decided independently by each retailer and bookseller. IEP makes no guarantee of sales.
Rights and Territory
Authors retain the copyright in their work. For the chosen language edition and format (ebook or paperback), the author grants IEP exclusive publishing and distribution rights for a term of no less than seven years. The territory is worldwide, excluding mainland China and any country or region where distribution is prohibited under local law or requires mandatory prior government review and approval.
Publishing in France
French-language editions for France may be published by IEP’s partner organization, IATDD (International Academy for Talent Discovery and Development).
