Paris — Cross-border publishing house Innovation Era Press (IEP) recently announced its official membership in L’Autre Livre, the renowned French association of independent publishers. Concurrently, IEP has launched full preparations to exhibit at the Autumn 2026 International Independent Publishers Book Fair (Salon international des éditeurs indépendants), scheduled for November 7–8, 2026, at the iconic Parisian cultural landmark, Palais de la Femme.

This marks a significant milestone in Innovation Era Press’s global expansion, fostering intellectual dialogue and building a bridge between Chinese, Western academic research, and avant-garde thought.
Founded in 2002, L’Autre Livre is a historic and highly regarded union representing small and independent publishers across France and the European francophone sphere. In response to multinational publishing conglomerates and algorithmic distribution monopolies, the association consistently champions “bibliodiversity” (Bibliodiversité) and editorial independence. Today, it unites hundreds of independent publishers committed to rigorous scholarship, humanistic values, and pluralistic perspectives.
A spokesperson for Innovation Era Press noted:
“In an era of increasing cultural homogenization, independent publishing is not merely a business model—it is a cultural commitment. Joining L’Autre Livre allows us to stand alongside Europe’s most innovative, critical, and dynamic independent peers, collectively exploring the global circulation of multilingual ideas.”
As its first major initiative following this admission, Innovation Era Press will showcase a curated selection of titles at the Autumn International Independent Publishers Book Fair in Paris’s 11th arrondissement. Drawing tens of thousands of dedicated readers, authors, independent translators, scholars, and rights agents each year, the fair stands as a cultural highlight of the Parisian literary season. IEP will spotlight cutting-edge multilingual titles while conducting in-depth bilateral copyright discussions with independent French and international publishers.
In conjunction with its preparations for the Paris Book Fair, Innovation Era Press is officially launching a call for multilingual publishing collaborations targeting Chinese-speaking authors, scholars, artists, and translators worldwide. The press is now accepting proposals for global publication and distribution in French and English across key areas, including:
- Contemporary Humanities and Social Sciences: Monographs and essays in philosophy, history, sociology, intercultural studies, and pressing contemporary issues;
- Avant-Garde Literature and Non-Fiction: Novels, poetry collections, literary essays, and investigative non-fiction marked by distinctive voice and perspective;
- Art and Visual Documents: Photography books, art theory, design documentation, and visual archives.

Selected titles will benefit from dedicated international channels:
- Direct Showcase at the Paris Autumn Book Fair 2026: Physical copies will be featured and promoted at IEP’s booth in the Palais de la Femme, reaching European cultural circles, local audiences, and rights professionals;
- Exposure Across European Cultural Networks: Long-term international visibility supported by the association’s network in central Paris (including its dedicated bookstore in the Latin Quarter and literary salons);
- Global Multi-Channel Distribution: Physical and digital distribution across major international channels.
